Saved Cards and Auto-Renewal Are Live at is*hosting

Written by Maria S. | Jun 17, 2026 11:13:43 AM

You can now save a payment card in your is*hosting account so renewals run on their own.

What's new

At checkout, you'll see a "Save card" toggle, enabled by default. Save a card once, and it shows up as a payment option on every future order. If you have multiple cards saved, you can mark one as primary, and that's the one auto-renewal will charge when a service is due for renewal.

All saved cards are managed in a new dedicated section of your client area, where you can add, remove, or change your primary card at any time.

Auto-renewal is now on by default for all new orders, but you can still turn it off for any specific service in that service's settings.

How charges work

When a renewal is due, and auto-renewal is on:

  • Your account balance gets checked first. If there's enough, that covers the payment.
  • If the balance falls short, the remainder goes to your primary saved card.

If you disable auto-renewal for a specific service, that service goes back to manual.

What to know before you save a card

  • VAT on card payments is calculated based on the card's registered location. If your card is in a different country than your usual billing setup, the VAT amount may differ.
  • Invoicing, suspension rules, payment deadlines: all unchanged. The only new part is how the card charge happens.
  • Payments are processed through Revolut.

Updated legal docs

Storing card data changes how we handle your payment information, so we updated two documents:

Read them before you save a card – they cover what we store and how.

Prefer manual payments?

Skip the "Save card" toggle, and your checkout stays exactly the same.
